A few things to know about Marge's if you don't already.....

This little article just might help you on your first trip to Marge's or possibly answer any questions you might have about us.

1.  Yes, you need your ID (non-expired, valid, picture) Drivers Lic. or Passport.  Everyone must show ID.  We don't  check ID because we want to be a pain in the butt...we do it because it's THE LAW.

2.  As much as we are dog (animal) lovers, we cannot allow you to bring yours.  This also goes for children too.....sorry.

3.  Shirts & Shoes are required.

4.  Parking is tough, although the best bet is along Culver Road.  DO NOT Park at the hots stands until AFTER 10pm, your car could be towed.  The boat launch area is risky, as you may be ticketed and under NO CIRCUMSTANCE are you allowed to park on the North side of Culver Road (unless it is DIRECTLY in front of Marges).  They are all private residences and your car will be towed.  Not because people want to be mean....put yourself in that situation and if you come home and couldn't park, it would probably piss you off.   NOTE:  (If your name is NOT      Fran Beth then that parking space is obviously NOT for YOU!)

5.  Marge's does NOT serve any food.  Just a fabulous bar on the beach with lots of atmosphere and popcorn (sometimes) : )    You can bring food from accross the street or order Pizza...... As long as we don't have to cook, it's cool!

6.  Marge's does NOT accept CHARGE CARDS (we have an ATM).  Cash only.

7.  It is NOT a pathway or cut through for boaters.  There is a small public area nearest the pier if you are meeting friends on a boat.  The rest of the entire beach is Private Property!  Once again, I use the example of IF YOU LIVED THERE.....you wouldn't enjoy (to say the least) people cutting through your property or using your YARD (in this case THE BEACH) as though it's public.  It is NOT.

8.  There is a PUBLIC REST ROOM at the PUBLIC part of the beach nearest the pier.  Our Rest Room is for customers ONLY.

9.  Foul language and bad attitudes are considered "rocking the boat" and we have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime.  We also reserve the right to cut off service to anyone who we feel is intoxicated.

10.  NO ALCOHOL can be brought onto the propertyNO ALCOHOL can leave the property

11.  No duffle bags, large carry totes etc.  You can check them at the door if necessary.

12.  No wandering down the beach....it is all PRIVATE PROPERTY and pardon me for repeating myself, but put yourself in their shoes....it is their home.  NOT PUBLIC.

13.  We are open year round.  Our Winter-time is totally different than our Summertime fun (obviously it's a little cold on the beach), but inside it's still a little "vacation" from the reality of Winter.

It's a bar.  A FUN bar with an awesome beach and truly unique for the Rochester area.  We have been in business for 48 years and we've adapted to the changes through the decades. Basically, we extend hospitality and open our lives up to you and we expect respect in return. So, if it sounds like we are all about the "rules"...... they are in place for a reason and it's up to people to respect them or play elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to seeing you soon!  : )

We were there last night (Saturday Jan. 24, 2009) for the very first time and had a ball. I'm sure you will see us again soon. Can't wait for summer to check you out.
